      Critics Consensus

Mixing tongue-in-cheek cheesecake with glossy action set pieces, Charlie's Angels is slick and resonably fun despite its lack of originality.

Rebecca G Great movie. Love the action. Fun to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Kim T cheesy and great fun best describe this film starring cameron diaz, lucy liu and drew barrymore. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review J M Pure Y2K aesthetic and most of the negative reviews don't seem to understand that. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/17/23 Full Review Gareth v An average and predictable action flick that wastes the talent of the actors involved. A better screenplay and some originality, and this movie could of been something decent. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Marcos O A very nice and classic female centric action movie. We need MORE. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Red T It's ok overall. It's very dated. The acting is actually not that bad with a lot of quirky energy and actually some good chemistry between the three angels at times. But the characters are one dimensional and a lot of the supporting cast is just ok even Bill Murray who doesn't really have any charm or wit (Which isn't his fault as it feels like most of the actors weren't given much here to work with). The jokes actually every now and then got a laugh out of me for how stupid they were but a lot also fell flat. The cinematography is decent also, the action scenes are surprisingly well done with a lot of practical effects and are all very over the top but are all entertaining and the ebay parts of the film. The soundtrack is a mix of the Charlie's Angels theme, dated 90's-00's pop songs, and generic action music which is ok enough but doesn't mix well because it's so dated. The editing is not that good and is the weakest part of the film. Certain jokes go on way too long, there are way too many scenes where it cuts to showing off the angel's bodies in exploitative borderline softcore porn ways and the non action parts are not that good overall. The pacing is ok as stated before the action scenes save this film from being terrible. Overall it's honestly entertaining enough. Anyone who is a fan of any of these actors I would say give it a watch. Besides that though I would say skip it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Anne Cohen Refinery29 Though undeniably flawed, the movie...remains a surprisingly fun watch. Oct 1, 2019 Full Review Nell Minow Common Sense Media Edgy girl power fun. You go, girls! Feb 9, 2006 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) Low-concept, high-octane fun is the order of the day here, and the goods are delivered in full with a forceful frivolity that is irresistible in every sense of the word. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 2, 2020 Full Review Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal You may consider this the loosened collar or tightened noose on lightweight American action. But the film remains a kitschy, kick-butt confection that embraces the utter disposability of its severe necklines, sheer pantylines and silly plotlines.
