Thomas This is going to be a sleeper. Great thumbnail sketch of the early 1960's and what women and black people had to endure from the majority of white men in America. It was about the Civil Rights Bill in 1964 giving freedom to all Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/21 Full Review William Really enjoyed a well written script that cuts to the point of the story of including women in the Civil Rights Act. The actors did a great job! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/21 Full Review Michael O A great story about how one congressman might have been persuaded by one interesting lady to include women in the equal rights bill. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/21 Full Review Tony R Terrific acting, and great story but they glossed over what should have been the climax. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/15/21 Full Review S R Had some good moments, it it quickly fell apart with its poor messaging, weak acting and contrived plot. Saw on amazon. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review Kara I wanted to love this movie. It felt revisionist and white washed. Let's just say it's Scarlett O'Hara in the 1960s and not In a good way. Emma Simmonds Radio Times Debut writer-director SE DeRose takes both the sexism and racism of the era briskly to task, though the slightly whimsical tone detracts from the seriousness of the issues. Rated: 3/5 Jun 30, 2022 Full Review Asia Frey Lagniappe (Mobile, AL) At any rate, the women who I liked so much ended up better off than they started, and this was a very engaging historic dramedy. Sep 9, 2021 Full Review Tara McNamara Common Sense Media As long as you're OK with the fact that this film is a bit of an alternate reality, it offers teens an insightful look at how things have changed since the '60s and why it's so important not to regress. Rated: 4/5 Sep 9, 2021 Full Review Jackie K. Cooper jackiekcooper.com Good to see Kelsey Grammer on the big screen but there are two plotlines moving here and they never match up. Rated: 5/10 Sep 1, 2021 Full Review Christian Gallichio Film Threat Despite the pedigree and performances, the overall political sentiments and underdeveloped script hold Charming the Hearts of Man back from presenting a fully realized portrait... Rated: 5/10 Aug 25, 2021 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall The theme has powerful urgency. Rated: 3/5 Aug 18, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
