Michele B considering how good flaming star was i was excited to see another elvis western movie but this one was just not it. the plot had potential but it wasn't executed well. the acting was bleak and the storyline goes nowhere but you do get elvis with a beard. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review grumpyflyr1995 One of his last movies and one of his best. And do I even need to say anything about the beard ? This is a hidden gem of a movie Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Steve D Elvis tries something new and it works. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/20/23 Full Review r 9 Great score and song, but the film itself doesn't quite match those two things. Elvis Presley stars as the lead in 'Charro!', a western from 1969. The main point of the premise is a promising one, but the execution of it isn't anything all that interesting. The end events are entertaining, it's just the 60-70 minutes leading up to it are very slow. More needed to be added to the story. Presley himself is alright, I found his performance solid enough. Victor French makes for a decent villain, but neither him, the lead or anyone else really stand out in my thoughts - even shortly after watching. Not necessarily bad, but not good either. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review dan m A Western starring Elvis, I didn't have high hopes on this being all that good but I can say I was wrong here. For one, he doesn't sing here so it's not a musical. Two, does a pretty good job in the lead and three, story was also somewhat interesting. I mean Elvis is no Clint Eastwood or John Wayne, but he's worth a watch here. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Very impressed with Elvis as Jess Wade. Story plot engaged me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
