After an initial disagreement about the quality of his food, London restaurateur Buddhadev Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan) and diner Nina Verma (Tabu) hit it off. Though he's in his 60s and she's in her 30s, they're soon engaged. When Nina returns to India to assist her ailing father (Paresh Rawal), Buddhadev follows in the hope of impressing her family. But, like Buddhadev's mother (Zohra Sehgal), the elder Verma objects to the relationship, leaving the lovers in a tough situation.

Audience Member A very good movie with good acting by Tabu and Paresh Rawal. Amitabh Bachchan on the other hand made the emotional ending laughable with bad acting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Too long, OK, Partly Not in English Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Drags on a bit, but has some good messages! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Although this film was made in the Indian style (which I don't like) - i.e. overdramatic story of love that isn't approved of by the lovers' family - the very sweet relationship between the main actor and his 8 year old neighbour, "Sexy", was enjoyable. She had a wise head on a very young body. This is why it got 3 stars rather than 1. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member All in all, Cheeni Kum is a movie that should certainly be watched. The movie has one or two small sequences (though comical), which may warrant parental discretion, so decide for yourselves if you would like to take your kids along. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member In the 1st half .... chacha was mesmerizing as always ...!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
