Joseph The concert was off the chain.I got kind of emotional during"Dialogue" when thay flashed pictures of the icons, especially Marvin Gaye. Marvin Gayes"Whats Going On is one of Robert Lamms all-time favorite albums. I have some suggestions for the next Chicago & Friends showDonald Fagen,Carlos Santana,Herbie Hancock,Bruno Mars, and Chaka Khan. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Chris R Chicago's songs are some of the best of our generation. The partnership with new artists was fresh and exciting to hear. After 57 years, this band is still relevant and has something to say! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Chuck A well performed and produced concert. So much talent on that stage! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Jc Wall to wall hits by an American treasure that stands the test of time. Sound and visuals are spectacular. Viva Chicago! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Andrew W Great concert film! All music, no interviews. The band was fantastic and despite their ages, vocals were very good, and musicianship was top of form. This is the band's 55th anniversary and the three original members along with long-time band-mates, perform with the same energy as they did when they were in their 20's. The band played some really deep tracks from their first couple of albums and the set list was quite a bit different from when we saw them in April 2023. The guest artists were all fantastic (other than Robin Thicke who was weak, in my opinion.) Judith Hill KILLED on her songs with amazing vocal performances of some of the Chicago classics. Steve Vai, Kingfisher, and Robert Randolph, all tore it up on guitars as they took their turns on stage. Daughtry was a powerhouse and added some great vocals where needed on a couple of songs. The a cappella group VoicePlay was probably the biggest surprise as these young guys crushed some of the classic Chicago ballads with their harmonies backed by the band on acoustic instruments. It was great seeing the film on a massive movie screen and it gave the feel of being at the actual concert, but with none of the annoying people in the audience to distract from your experience. The movie theater that we saw it in had good sound with surround speakers but did not have enough bass for those deep concert low notes. I'm hoping a good audio system at home will enhance the experience down the road. Still, it was excellent and hopefully, this film will be released on DVD or for home streaming. The end credit video looked like they had interviewed the Chicago band members and guest stars, so perhaps that will be bonus material when it gets released. The concert movie plays in theaters for only a couple of days, so see it if you can! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Dennis Ryan Hearing songs like "Listen", "Poem 58" and "South California Purples" performed live for the first time in about 50 years. I think the band was outstanding and the audio capture and mixing really brought that out! The camera shots that were selected really enhanced the overall experience!
