That's the extent of it, aside from the now-standard trope of surprise offspring or hidden offspring ... Go to Full Review

No "Children of the Corn" film is ever going to be a masterpiece, but "Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror" manages to be entertaining by putting the focus on the cult itself, and having younger people fight off these god damn children. Go to Full Review

I wonder if Stephen King chuckles when he finds these movies sitting in the bargain bin. Go to Full Review

Jelisije J 04/21/2024 Well at least they tried to do a different story with children of the corn franchise.....the execution of this film though however was terrible. Half the characters I couldn't get invested in so I was just really watching to see how each of them would die. Massive plot holes that makes no sense and a lot of convenient plot points were made to get the story going. See more steve d 07/05/2020 Bad even by the series own low standards, this is one of the worst. The acting is really bad (at least by the men in the cast). See more russell h 03/05/2019 Very dull. Probably my least favorite of the series so far See more bill t @Spuzz 11/28/2016 Pretty standard horror fare here, showing almost no originality, almost just going through the paces. The only thing scary in this one is Alexis Arquette's goatee. See more 10/12/2015 I must confess that I have a bit of a soft spot for direct-to-video 1990s horror movies. They're really bad, but I just have a nostalgia for that time period. Children of the Corn 5 is pretty intolerable though. On the surface it had some things going for it: Eva Mendes before hitting it big, Alexis Arquette when she was still an awkward guy, David Carradine and Fred Williamson with nothing better to do... There was some promise. But there is little fun in this movie, with the plot dragging along while characters walk from scene to scene just to talk. It brings nothing new to the table that hasn't basically been addressed in the first movie or (better yet) the 40-page short story. It just felt like a waste of time. But I did have to nudge the score up just ever so slightly because of the death scene with David Carradine and Fred Williamson. It's hilariously awesome. Worth going out of your way just to find that. See more Read all reviews
