Liz Moody Empire Magazine More ‘Lost In Long Island’ than ‘Miracle On Main Street’, this offbeat indie ladles on the melancholy mood while skimping on the holiday highs, and seems destined to become a cult Christmas favourite. Rated: 4/5 Nov 22, 2024 Full Review Jonathan Romney Financial Times This could well prove a dependable alternative winter warmer for years to come. Rated: 4/5 Nov 21, 2024 Full Review Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) For a while, it’s all genuinely lovely, but there is an unpleasant moment around an hour into the film when you realise you’re no longer enjoying it that much, and the constant ducking of anything resembling a plot has long begun to grate. Rated: 2/5 Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Kevin Harley Radio Times With Michael Cera and Gregg Turkington adding dustings of wit as useless cops, the result unfolds as an evocative meditation on seasonal tradition and change, mounted with winning warmth and style. Rated: 4/5 Nov 19, 2024 Full Review Laura Stott The Sun (UK) There’s a cluster of character clichés – a deaf grandma, rebellious teen, proud mum, cute kids and closeted cop. New arrivals are constantly turning up to eat – yet not one manages to be interesting. Rated: 1/5 Nov 18, 2024 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film The camera drifts through it at a leisurely pace, back and forth, up and down, taking in different details one might when wandering around drunk or half asleep. From these, story and meaning gradually coalesce. Rated: 5/5 Nov 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

George Slow and boring. I feel asleep. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Shannon P The audience is introduced to dozens of family members in the first few minutes, with little character development to follow. Some random non-family characters make appearances little coherence through the movie. Disappointing, and the blurb on Fandango is very misleading. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Tom B Mish mash of typical crowded Xmas Eve dinner, etc. If this movie were intended to become a new classic, it failed, at least in my opinion. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/13/24 Full Review DiAnne S Terrible movie - what a waste of my money and my time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/13/24 Full Review deborah O Worst movie I have ever seen. I have no idea what it was about, who was related to who. It was not funny and made no sense. If I could give it a ZERO I would. save your money. We would like to get our both our money and our time back . Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/11/24 Full Review Paul D wtf was this even about??? no story, barely even nostalgic, just a waste of time and talent. haven't ever walked out of a movie but this might be the closest I've ever come.
