Ingrid S Cute story, bad execution. For a professional decorator the decor was pitiful. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/15/24 Full Review KRIS K Incredibly poignant haggis reverie . . . Jill Wintertitz' sange froid performance as the cold-blooded lover in this film neige classic is a chilling tour de force which will leave icicles on your theater seat. Catch it while you can! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Bever B Au Courant, arriving in the year to date the location was real enough to make one want to be there with the village. The core values of tradition, being together with loved ones, fending off inclinations to have false cheer, tacky fake decor added sincere depth to the intent of the movie makers. Scenic, authentic village, memorable characters and a story I would read over and over again and keep in the bookshelf, if it were written. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review Dave M OK, so this WAS genuinely the worst Christmas movie I have ever seen. I can see why critics haven't even bothered to review it. Not only did it look like it was shot on a consumer camera (some of the evening scenes at the castle were diabolical) and it just screamed "video camera". The acting was stiff as hell and oh the cheese, a crazy cheese-fest. The story just lurched along with a facepalming predictability, and not a single separate story arc. Lots of errors including an actor looking at the camera (by accident i presume) and near the end some soft slow-dance music still had a piper rocking away in the background pretending to obviously play completely silent bagpipes. Yes it was fun seeing some local places but my goodness it was proper heehaw laughable. We watched it and said we actually enjoyed it BECAUSE it was so bad. Maybe that's a saving grace. A movie straight to Channel 5. Guess that's one step up from Hallmark. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
