BRizz 2 Christmas in the Rockies – A Copy & Paste Holiday Flick Christmas in the Rockies is the kind of movie you expect to see on Hallmark around the holidays. It follows the familiar formula: a woman with big-city dreams gets stuck in her hometown due to a family emergency—in this case, her father’s health—and ends up rediscovering the magic of home, love, and tradition. Sound familiar? It should. It’s basically the same blueprint most of these movies follow. She falls in love with a paramedic, there’s a local tradition to save, and everything wraps up just the way you’d expect. The cast is fine, the cinematography and editing are totally acceptable, but the biggest downfall here is the script. It’s cheesy, predictable, and at times, painfully corny. The writing just doesn’t allow you to fully engage or believe in the story. Now, seeing Trish Stratus in a more grounded, romantic role was refreshing. I’m used to seeing her in projects where they try to shoehorn in her WWE persona, so this was a nice change. That said, even she couldn’t save this movie. It’s not the worst holiday film I’ve seen—it won’t make you throw the remote—but it’s certainly not one I’d revisit. If you’re in the mood for light background holiday fluff, give it a go. Otherwise, you’re not missing much. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/25 Full Review Heather L Worst movie ever. Why in the world would they cast two people the same age as father and daughter? Are they that desperate for cast members? And they think we're stupid enough that we won't notice. Also that tiny little thing is going to win a lumberjack competition when she's never had any experiences within threr weeks?? How stupid do you think we are? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/14/25 Full Review Samuel P None of these Hallmark-style Christmas movies are particularly good, but this one stands out as the worst of the worst (and not in a fun way). The most boring movie ever filmed. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Audience Member Really good family watching here.
