Gerard N Meatloaf steals the show as one of two great detective characters but Ally Sheedy as CITIZEN JANE doggedly seeking the truth is delicious with her love-struck, sad-glad grieving half-smiles. Researcher-author-screenwriter James Dallesandro gives copious amounts of back-story in the online YouTube COMMENTS that should tempt viewers to read his book (CITIZEN JANE) to get the full range of strange doings by principals and irregularities by investigators. Flinch as the cinematic crime scene is tracked through and cringe as it is touched but realize Dallesandro says that, in real life, there was much worse evidence contamination. "Me doing the talking ain't the point." Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Audience Member This was good. Nothing too special. Predictable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Teresa E I thought that this was a good film. I did not know that story behind the film so I found the outcome interesting. I enjoyed Meatloaf's appearance. If you enjoy true crime then I would recommend this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Good story. However, there is a reason Ally Sheedy does not appear in many movies/TV programs. She is a terrible actress. Her lack of talent takes away from the movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie, based on a true story, was GREAT. Ally Sheedy (My favorite actress) was SUPER in her role. The entire cast was very, very good. This movie is well worth seeing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member While not a great film, and not more than the Landmark television feature that it is (including some terribly wooden acting,) this is an important story of how good people get victimized. More importantly, it is a story of heroic fighting for justice. The real Citizen Jane actually existed, and really founded an organization that still exists today to help the families of murder victims fight for justice for their loved ones.
