Eitan D Another movie that sheds light at how few conservatives are acting almost as criminals to funnel huge sums of money to politicians (can you smell the bribes?) to do everything they can to reduce any regulations to continue and pollute the earth and not to pay taxes so they can have more money to give to his politicians. Recently 1 of the brothers admitted that they helped to polarize the nation. Another fun part- stupid people who are for unions & vote for republicans and than these politicians doing what they can to fight them, damn, how short sighted you need to be? And several years later Drump came to power saying that he'll bring the jobs back while the relentless fight of the republicans was a major cause for it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/27/21 Full Review Audience Member I didn't think it was as bad as the critics are giving it. Definitely gives a nice understanding of the Citizens United Bill, Koch Brothers, Tea Party, and all that other good stuff. It can also be racist as hell sometimes (not the doc, the people they were showing). Good Concept, Decent execution. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member loads of money plus politics equals shit Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The world needs to know what is happening! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Just because I largely agree doesn't mean it was a good documentary... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A great doc that should be seen by every American (especially the average clueless Republican and those who don't vote), about how an outrageous decision of the Supreme Court set a precedent for campaign advertisement that would change forever the outcome of US elections. Geoff Pevere Globe and Mail The movie bleakly emphasizes the sense of debilitating powerlessness of the average citizen without the means to bring anything but their vote to the ballot box. Jul 25, 2014 Full Review Alonso Duralde TheWrap If the real triumph of the Tea Party is getting middle- and working-class citizens to vote against their own best interests, it's going to take a documentary more passionate and more revelatory than this one to make that point. Jun 27, 2014 Full Review Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post If you have a shred of idealism left, it's hard to watch "Citizen Koch" without a mounting sense of despair and outrage over the influence that money has come to wield over modern elections. Rated: 3/4 Jun 19, 2014 Full Review Jennifer Merin About.com If you value civic equality and civil liberties, Citizen Koch is a must see. Sep 25, 2014 Full Review Kevin Jagernauth The Playlist For those who didn't know how flawed and manipulated the act of casting a ballot has become, "Citizen Koch" is a decent primer, but for everyone else long past the tipping point, this is just more evidence for a problem that currently has no solution. Rated: C Aug 24, 2014 Full Review Jeff Baker Oregonian It tosses out a lot of information and doesn't pull it into a compelling movie. Rated: C+ Jul 18, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
