Audience Member This is a cute little movie with a lot of good morals to present. Integrity should be not just something in some of your actions, but should define your character, and you need not be a victim just because life dealt you a faulty hand. The little romances in the movie were cute and despite the cheesy parts and some parts of the script making no sense (like the make a wish scene) a lot of the film works very well and it's entertaining to watch. I know that as a kid I always wanted to be adopted by a father figure, and so this was a way to see my fantasy come to life in a way. The set pieces and shooting location were really well-done and beautiful and I liked the camp setting/forest feel of the movie. May not be the best film, but it's one that will be staying in my movie collection. Along the way Nick forms and loses a friend and falls for a girl. Typical made for TV family fare. Acting is better than in most of these films and the story is decent enough to not bore the viewer to death. Everything else is sub-par.
