Paul B Despite a strong cast this movie is superficial, clichéd and violent in a way that resurrects established anti gay tropes. An entirely retrograde movie with nothing to redeem it. Avoid. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review andy n Strange Strange Strange movie! It seems that there is a plot, and the script is not banal, and the actors play well ... It's just not clear why this is all?!!! Life is shit?! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty dour depressing look at the downside of being gay. A difficult watch but some important messages. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A disquieting film about the loneliness and desperation of isolation for gay men in a contemporary world at times unaware of, at times gleefully fostering, the discrimination and violence imposed on the gay community -- and the unsuspected visitation of the same in the perpetrators' own families. Haunting, beautiful, terrifying and disgusting in all its facets. Poor cinematography and disjointed story telling, but surprisingly good performances by Luke Treadaway and Joseph Mawle. One cannot help but be disturbed and moved by the injustice -- and at the same time, the victims' own violations -- as they deal in their own ways with being forced to live in the shadows. Despite its weaknesses, this is a very good tale worthy of consideration. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Adheres strictly to sexuality which works well with a strong message. 06/01/2014 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow. Heartbreaking. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
