Leslie Felperin Guardian Eastwood’s deadpan expression, the one thing that strongly recalls her father as an actor, is a secret weapon here, along with Culpo’s snippy timing, which does justice to screenwriter April Wolfe’s chucklesome one-liners. Rated: 3/5 Sep 17, 2024 Full Review Alex Saveliev Film Threat For a low-budget, contained flick, Day’s film does a remarkable job of keeping audiences riveted with a minimum of pyrotechnics. Rated: 8/10 Dec 9, 2024 Full Review Rich Cross Starburst The repeated lurches in tone flatten the impact of the dark comedy, the jump scares and the gruesome blood-letting. Little of the story lands convincingly, and everything ends up feeling as soulless as Janet’s taste in home decor. Rated: 2/5 Oct 23, 2024 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com It’s the destination that’s quite disappointing, rendering the endeavor an uneven and unsatisfying viewing experience. Nick T Wow. Even more disturbing than the movie itself is seeing how a supposed critic gave this move a good review. Anyone who gave this move a good review should resign immediately and get e new job, and at the least never be taken seriously by a customer looking for honesty about a movie. How can a top critic who is paid to make reviews give this movie anything other than 1 star? Zero star is actually appropriate. The only reason I made it through was to see how much more pathetic each scene could get. It was like watching 90 year olds polka. Has bad as they are, you can’t look away. 100% worst and most embarrassing “movie” of all time. Please do watch just so you can see for yourself. Also I will never be using Rotten Tomatoes for an opinion. Wow. Unreal. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Kory B A fun and demented revenge dark comedy, I thoroughly enjoyed it Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/25 Full Review Jeepers C I have always liked dark horror drama and this movie kinda falls into that niche. The story begins with a unannounced renovation of the bathroom. A installer rings the doorbell and has a clawfoot bathtub that he says the woman's husband has hired him to install. She doesn't trust him, and with good reason. This guy us shady and is looking for trouble and trouble he will find. The woman isn't innocent either and he is going to find out the hard way. A nice, fast horror drama to satisfy your hunger for a dark comedy. Worth a watch. If you liked Strange Darling, then this will be up your alley. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/25 Full Review Audrey K Gloriously f'ed up movie. Very entertaining 👏 Eastwood did a phenomenal job. I've watched several dark comedies and this one is in Top 10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/25 Full Review Ernest B Well-paced, beautifully shot, tense, funny-there's a lot to like here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Nico L Clawfoot had potential, with a decent premise and capable actors, but was ultimately undone by weak direction, predictable writing, and missed thematic opportunities. While it may appeal to viewers looking for a standard thriller, it lacks the depth and originality to stand out in the genre. Despite its potential to captivate and unsettle, the film ultimately falls flat, feeling more like an exercise in missed opportunities. It becomes clear that the movie struggles to balance its tone, stumbling in its attempt to create meaningful tension. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
