Leslie Felperin Guardian Eastwood’s deadpan expression, the one thing that strongly recalls her father as an actor, is a secret weapon here, along with Culpo’s snippy timing, which does justice to screenwriter April Wolfe’s chucklesome one-liners. Rated: 3/5 Sep 17, 2024 Full Review Rich Cross Starburst The repeated lurches in tone flatten the impact of the dark comedy, the jump scares and the gruesome blood-letting. Little of the story lands convincingly, and everything ends up feeling as soulless as Janet’s taste in home decor. Rated: 2/5 Oct 23, 2024 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com It’s the destination that’s quite disappointing, rendering the endeavor an uneven and unsatisfying viewing experience. Ernest B Well-paced, beautifully shot, tense, funny-there's a lot to like here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Nico L Clawfoot had potential, with a decent premise and capable actors, but was ultimately undone by weak direction, predictable writing, and missed thematic opportunities. While it may appeal to viewers looking for a standard thriller, it lacks the depth and originality to stand out in the genre. Despite its potential to captivate and unsettle, the film ultimately falls flat, feeling more like an exercise in missed opportunities. It becomes clear that the movie struggles to balance its tone, stumbling in its attempt to create meaningful tension. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Farrah L Great satirical commentary. This one is for the ladies with a sense of humor. References to American psycho, quotes from Taylor swift songs, the underlying commentary is not necessarily original, but the new perspective is, and it’s hilarious. I wish there was more of an ending to drive home the parallels to American psycho, but other than that…great watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Read all reviews
