Her body image issues stemming from bullying when she was a child and made worse by her career as a stripper force her to seek a Brazilian butt lift to improve her body image. Against the wishes of her boyfriend and medical professionals, she decides to have the procedure in a dingy house, for half the price, a decision that almost costs her her life. Clinic is a great story of trauma, revenge, love, and body image all rolled into one and I really enjoyed it. The movie discusses plastic surgery and BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) from opposing perspectives. So you can see both sides and somehow find sympathy for both. I learned about a new concept through the movie that is BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder) which I had never heard of before. I also observed a lack of self-love in the story.
