The film is ripe with the chuckles of dark comedy, and the cinematography is interesting wiith effective sets and lighting. One of the strengths of the plot is characterization. Too often dark comedies create 1 dimensional cutouts to act as foils to the protagonist quest. In Clover, each charster is sculpted and real.
