Patrick MacDonald Seattle Times Captures the fun, beauty and excitement of the annual summertime rock festival of the same name. Rated: 3/4 Jun 9, 2006 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety An excellent overview of the ambiance and showcased talent at arguably the best annual U.S. rock festival ... Jan 25, 2006 Full Review Aidin Vaziri San Francisco Chronicle Unlike D.A. Pennebaker's great concert documentaries such as Monterey Pop and Don't Look Back, Coachella doesn't quite capture the stretches of tedium and fits of excitement that come with actually being at an event like this ... Rated: 2/4 Jan 25, 2006 Full Review Chase Burns The Stranger (Seattle, WA) Skinny rockers preach about the power of parties. You get a sense that people really believe Coachella can heal society. We feel so far away from that dumb optimism now. Dec 8, 2021 Full Review Collin Souter eFilmCritic.com A well-made, if insignificant, film about a well-managed, significant music festival. Rated: 3/4 Jun 11, 2006 Full Review Chris Macias Sacramento Bee Captures some musical moments that are worth the price of admission and a box of popcorn, such as the Mars Volta going buck wild or the Pixies' triumphant showing in 2004. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 7, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member This brings back a lot great memories for me at this festival. This was the golden era of the festival in mid 2000s. No VIP, everybody was on equal footing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member good enough background noise Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member How not to make a documentary film. The musicians have nothing interesting to say. The people they interview have nothing interesting to say. The performances they chose to include were for the most part boring (and I like the bands and I saw some of these performances at Coachella). It plays like an ad for a corporate summer camp or something. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I watched this with a good friend right before going to Coachella 2010 (my first Coachella). It really captured the atmosphere we were about to enter into & set the right mood for what was about to come. Which was pure bliss... This captures Coachella randomly up until 2006. Sadly I was never at any of those, but I'm happy to watch many great performances from those venues. It would be great if they could release a Coachella DVD every year. This documentary does a good job of showing the people, land, & art with some brief interviews of various artists. My only complaint is that there weren’t more live performances included. 9/10 from me. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Coachella is a 3 day event that happens once a year and I think about it almost every day. This film captures a small, but amazing, fraction of what Coachella is all about. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
