Alyse Wax ComingSoon.net With the success of Cocaine Bear in the theaters earlier this year, it was only a matter of time before other animals fell victim to narcotics and B-movie excess. Nov 27, 2024 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens A feeding frenzy of hilarious lo-budget B-movie camp! Jul 22, 2023 Full Review Jason Delgado Film Threat I love a good noir as much as the next cinephile, but it isn’t done correctly here. Nor is this what the audience for this kind of title wants. Rated: 3/10 Jul 17, 2023 Full Review Matt Donato Bloody Disgusting Between all the embarrassingly indecipherable accents from actors, usage of random B-roll, and bottom-of-the-barrel horror noir storytelling, Cocaine Shark sinks like Titanic 666. Samuel K Honestly, Cocaine Shark is by far the worst movie I‘ve ever watched. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/25 Full Review Malice in Wonderland P Beard or no beard. That is the question. Outside shot of the island cabin in the dark of night. Miraculously, it’s daylight when the actor, and I use the term loosely, enters. Continuity is not this film’s strong suit. I’m a low budget shark movie super fan, but this is the worst movie I’ve ever seen. No cocaine. No shark. I could produce a better movie using my phone and hiring neighborhood kids to act in it. Just awful. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Izzy M If you are a complete cinephile that loves yourself a beautifully shot movie that looks like it has been fully edited on PowerPoint and used only one take for each scene, this spectacular and bootylicious film is for you. Our favorite scenes included: Neil rubbing his hairy belly The spirit of Halloween skeleton with eyeballs edited into a lakeside meadow, and Fuente semi-casually going, "oh, is that the driver?" #1 top favorite fantastical whimsical jaw dropping scene in which fuente painfully excruciatingly gurgles on the floor before it switches to his claymation face melts into a puddle of green goo But to be quite honest and real with the rotten tomatoes community that I hold so dear to my aching heart, this movie was a great step in my journey towards forgiving my dad for going out on the boat that day and never coming back because he also got eaten by a shark, leaving my mother, lizard, and I behind forever. Thank you to everyone who created this movie I want to kiss you on the lips so bad because this sensational movie saved me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Ace S This is one of the stupidest movies I've ever watched, just completely absurd. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/25 Full Review scarlett p This movie is one of a kind and completely blew my mind on how good it is Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/07/25 Full Review Izabelle K "Cocaine Shark" is an unparalleled force that defies the conventions of genre filmmaking, delivering a cinematic experience that is both exhilarating and profoundly thought-provoking. This movie masterfully intertwines elements of suspense, horror, and dark comedy, creating an indelible narrative tapestry that captivates from the opening scene to the climactic finale. The film's directorial vision is nothing short of visionary. With an auteur’s finesse, the director orchestrates a symphony of visual and auditory sensations that immerse the audience in a world where the surreal becomes tangible. The cinematography is a veritable feast for the eyes, with each frame meticulously composed to evoke a sense of both wonder and dread. The use of color and lighting is particularly noteworthy, creating an atmosphere that is as intoxicating as it is foreboding. The screenplay is a masterclass in storytelling, deftly balancing moments of high-octane action with introspective character development. The dialogue is sharp and incisive, often laced with a dark humor that provides a counterpoint to the film’s more harrowing moments. The narrative pacing is impeccable, maintaining a relentless momentum that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The performances are nothing short of extraordinary. The cast delivers portrayals that are both nuanced and compelling, breathing life into a diverse array of characters. The protagonist’s journey is rendered with a depth of emotion that resonates long after the credits roll. The antagonist, meanwhile, is depicted with a chilling intensity that cements them as one of the most memorable villains in recent cinema. The film’s technical aspects are equally praiseworthy. The special effects are executed with a level of craftsmanship that enhances the film’s fantastical elements without overshadowing the narrative. The sound design and score are integral to the film’s immersive quality, with haunting melodies and visceral soundscapes that heighten the tension and drama. "Cocaine Shark" is a cinematic triumph that challenges and exhilarates in equal measure. It is a film that dares to push the boundaries of storytelling, delivering an experience that is as intellectually stimulating as it is viscerally thrilling. This is not merely a movie; it is a transcendent work of art that will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the annals of film history. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/25 Full Review Read all reviews
