Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com There’s a beating heart at the center of this film that helps wallpaper over its flaws, a call for sincere action in a cruel and unjust world filled with people who, even as they may fight you, need your care. Rated: 3/4 Sep 15, 2025 Full Review Neely Swanson Easy Reader (California) Unfortunately what keeps “Code 3” from taking off is the lead, Rainn Wilson as Randy. His effectiveness comes in waves. Funny in the lighter moments, he has trouble mediating the emotions of the fraught times. Sep 24, 2025 Full Review Tara McNamara Common Sense Media You won't laugh to death, but this movie's comic tone is the spoonful of sugar that makes its tough truths at all possible to swallow. Rated: 2/5 Sep 19, 2025 Full Review Ray Greene CineGods.com A remarkable job of balancing gallows humor against medical drama. There are a lot of laughs in Code 3, but it’s always laughter in the shadows, just a few heartbeats away from a radio call and a mad dash to some other guy’s tragedy. Rated: 4/4 Sep 16, 2025 Full Review Matt Hambidge FandomWire Code 3 shines a light on the important work paramedics do, while highlighting some of the very real issues they have to deal with on a daily basis. But its repetitive nature holds it back from being as effective as it could be. Rated: 6/10 Sep 16, 2025 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots Funny, sad, and heartfelt in equal measure, this is one of the most surprising gems of the year. Mike Hilarious but fairly accurate depiction of the life of a medic at workThe ER Doc wouldve been told off a lot sooner through Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/22/25 Full Review Aidyn Fun packed movie that any first responder/ems will appreciate. It is also a great way to introduce your family and friends to the wildness that is EMS. This movie brilliantly balances dark humor, realistic calls and humanity all wrapped up in a great paced adventure. Rain Wilson masterfully portrays a skilled, yet burned out Paramedic in thr depth of LA. The film flows so well and there aren't any times when you feel like it is dragging on or having needless scenes. While the premise seems simple, it still manages to provide some twists and turns on the way. It is a must see!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/25 Full Review Jack Most real depiction of EMS to day! A must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/25 Full Review Kevin S Accurate, entertaining, and funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/18/25 Full Review Deepak Fast. Moving. Important. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/18/25 Full Review joseph p Unexpectedly great!! I like Rainn Wilson and Rel Howry. The trailers looked good. And the reviews were almost too good to believe. But this film totally delivers on all fronts. Its hot all the feels from gut-wrenching to hilarious! And not a moment of space in between. A truly great film.
