Alain E This is definitely a most unusual finding on Tubi. Recommended watch for people who complain that some American films are slow. The first half is instruction in real time about wildcat gold prospecting in rural mountainous Turkey. There is excellent color cinematography in the mountainous landscape across all four seasons. The actors must have suffered in the winter shots that were done in freezing temperatures with their breath creating mist. The non professional actors are excellent. An interesting information is that the protagonist is in real life an elementary school teacher, who taught the director many years earlier. The story is about Mehmet who seeks extraordinary escape out of his grinding poverty. He lives with his family in a barely standing house without running water or electricity. When he fails to discover a vein of gold, plan B is to train a bull for a fight. However, at the very end it appears that the combination of all his failures opens a door.
