Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A dangerous new drug called Coldfire is mere days away from being unleashed into the world by a crooked scientist and his corporation. Unfortunately, two very young, rookie cops (Michael Easton & Kamar de los Reyes) stand in the way as they roam the streets trying to uncover the mystery of Coldfire and the already dangerous effects its having on just a small circle of people. This film marks the directorial debut of cult character actor Wings Hauser (Mutant, The Carpenter, etc), who also shows up in the movie as a fellow sleazy cop whose a jerk most of the way until being somewhat of a glorified hero at the end, which is pretty hilarious, unintentionally of course. Coldfire has the distinct honor of being one of the MANY films to introduce the new 90's decade with campy action that seems all too reminiscent of the 80's. Despite the film coming out in more censor-happy times, there's a decent bit of violence, as well as some top-notch nudity, specifically from the GORGEOUS (and still hot this to this day) Darcy DeMoss. DeMoss shows off her incredible body in some moderately risque sex scenes, which of course I didn't mind. DeMoss also happens to be a Friday the 13th victim in one of the more highlight deaths of part 6. Anyways, back on track. For those of you who enjoyed the silly, unrealistic action films of the 90's, this is one that bodes well with these kinds of viewers. I enjoyed it for what it was worth, and I found it interesting that Wings Hauser can also direct (and not too badly, mind you). Fun, dumb entertainment.
