Grant Watson Fiction Machine It is an imperfect film, but on the other hand its premise and bizarre protoganist are so off-the-wall that it gains plenty of appeal through sheer absurdism. Rated: 7/10 Sep 11, 2019 Full Review Edmund Lee South China Morning Post An ordinary citizen is turned into a mutant fish-man during a faulty genetic experiment in [this] mildly intriguing, if also rather predictable, satire on the South Korean society's self-serving tendencies. Audience Member A social parody about the systemic abuses of the helpless, told through the eyes of a fishy boy who ended up that way after a drug trial. A quirky moving story, if a bit glum in its overtone... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member a mutant man-fish brought out every iota of selfishness in society... Glad for the seemingly happy ending though. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member An emotionally resonate satire on celebrity culture. Deeply cynical look at human nature yet oddly naive. Slight tonal imbalance. Very original. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
