Audience Member For a low-budget movie with relatively unknown stars/Director etc.,it was very realistic. It is a change to see "reality" in the form of scruffy, dirty soldiers with dirty, ill-fitting uniforms(as it really was) and being very inaccurate shots(as they really were) rather than being very clean sharpshooters which we see in most movies of this genre. The scenes with the family were also well done without the usual cliches. The acting was OK, the plot concentrated almost wholly on the soldier's relationship with the colt(as per the title) and, overall, was well directed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Ryan Merriman is awsome! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie had the potential to be great. It was entertaining and the plot was decent enough to keep you watching. But this movie had too many major flaws that just ruined the movie all together. First off, their was no character development. I didn't know much about the main characters past or how he got the colt. The second major flaw is the movie seemed to make important scenes like the fights last less than half a minute but non important scenes that generate nothing to the story last WAY TO LONG!!! Finally, the third major flaw is the ending. Most movies that have sad or depressing at least have SOMETHING uplifting, like Dr. Stangelove. But this movies ending is so depressing, it ruins the rest of the movie. *SPOILER ALERT!!!* It's like they hated the main character so they just killed him. It's like they threw the whole plot out of a window. I would say if you could ignore the flaws, you should watch it, but the ending makes the whole movie completely pointless. So, it's just not worth your time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie had the potential to be great.
