Bob J Peter Falk is unsurpassed as the unflappable detective! Too bad they don't make em like this anymore. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/14/23 Full Review Donald A After viewing the latter Columbo episodes and coming back to the previous pilots, I find myself highly amused by Columbo's almost boyish quality. Yes, his performance is good. Gene Barry's murderer is one of the most calculating and meticulous of the series, providing some of the most fascinating criminal insight into the forthcoming episodes. Katherine Justice's mistress, is, however, the best performance in the film. She is broken, it seems, and then, unrelenting. Coupled with a great ending and a wealth of quirks that were to become staples of the legendary show, "Prescription: Murder" is a Columbo film that is not to be left out of the lineup. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny, cleaver writing and Peter Falk is perfect! The blue print for shows like Monk and Psych. Enjoy!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/20 Full Review Audience Member One of my favourite TV films so far. Very clever plot and main characters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The television movie that started it all for Peter Falk as Lt. Detective Columbo and none finer script than this one. Barry would have been a pretty good James Bond as he had a suave and debonaire personality. Maybe he was approached for the role, don't know. At first he's incredibly polite and obliging go Lt. Columbo, who he underestimates due to his disheveled appearance, but gradually he gets more and more irritable as the noose closes around his neck.
