Alain E An English TV film that is surprisingly good. Reasonable, as both Branagh and Mirren can choose where to work. The image is dated with low detail, however the photography is excellent within these constraints. Colors, framing and lighting are first class. The story involves the present time interaction of two DH Lawrence scholars, a man and a married woman and examination of Lawrence’s relationship with one of his female partners. The editing as we transition between the two time periods is very smooth. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/25 Full Review Read all reviews
