12/05/2007 Uh, despite the aforementioned comments on Blake Edwards' memorable "Days of Wine and Roses," "Coming Up Roses" is a rare Welsh-language film set in Thatcherite UK that depicts mushroom cultivation in a small defunct theatre. An enjoyable enough light comedy, but the setup isn't explored enough in its critical and satirical possibilities. A missed opportunity. See more 10/28/2007 excellent movie depicting a husband and wife being destroyed by the disease of alcoholism. very depressing film, but not as gruelling as 'leaving las vegas.'
