Audience Member So downhill uplifiting movie, that will brought you back to bitter sweet life! Ana Paula Arosio is not in her strongest hole there, but she had her memorable moments. Murilo Rosa, on the other hand, rocks!!!!!! the plot is unique! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Ana Paula Arosio's acting is good but her character is just too hard to be loved. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Júlia is a professor of literature in contemporary Brazil. She has lost her hold on life after being abandoned by Antonia, a partner for 10 years. Facing deep depression and financial problems Júlia moves in together with her long-time friend Hugo and his friend Lisa. Hugo is still recovering from his own break-up from a long-term boyfriend. Lisa, pregnant, has been abandoned by the childâ(TM)s father. The premise of âComo Esquecer❠couldnâ(TM)t be less interesting. Three adult people despairing over disillusionment from romantic notions being depressed on screen. But director Malu De Martino takes a beautifully melancholic approach to his storytelling, impregnating the screen with quietly beautiful scenes analyzing the experience of facing yourself in solitude. This movie is less about relationships and more about individuality, the regaining of identity and standing on your own two feet. In a way the three protagonists form a relationship of asexual polyamory, but the process isnâ(TM)t as desperate and needy as one might assume. And the focus of the story always stays on individual choices leading to growth. Ana Paula Arósio is marvelous as Júlia, conveying deep sorrow entangled in strength of character. Júlia is lost but determined to survive, holding on to her academic curiosity as a lifeline. Her character has depth and dimensions, carrying âComo Esquecer❠far beyond its unfortunate premise into bold and artistically accomplished areas. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member It was difficult to feel any sort of sympathy for the main character...
