Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Funny, effective, and very well executed by these actors. Feb 11, 2025 Full Review Stephanie Bunbury Financial Times The colours are Barbie-bright, right down to the pink title sequence; writer-director Drew Hancock is similarly aiming to give us sexual politics in a popcorn box, but with added stage blood. Rated: 3/5 Feb 8, 2025 Full Review David Sims The Atlantic Companion is at best a mean little confection, no matter how much you know going into it: amusing, occasionally thrilling, but not something with the capability to linger. Feb 8, 2025 Full Review Joe Friar Fort Worth Report Love short circuits in the clever science fiction thriller. Sophie Thatcher joins the ranks of scream queen-final girl. It’s bloody entertaining watching a relationship become a neural network nightmare in the feature film debut by Drew Hancock. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 22, 2025 Full Review Chris McCoy Memphis Flyer On the surface, it’s a tight techno-thriller with a sly sense of humor. But it’s also hinting at deeper issues, not just about feminism and the nature of consent, but also about our rapidly changing relationship with technology. Feb 19, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views Sophie Thatcher is finally in a good movie, “Companion” (2025)! Feb 19, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Brittany Interesting plot with good twists and turns. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Bela H Sophie Thatcher was amazing Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Justin Fantastic acting, unpredictable twists and turns, symbolic, and an overall thrill ride that shouldn't be missed. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Brandon E A well-paced, entertaining “what if” tech-future movie. I loved the core concept and plot, but the dichotomy between the music choice (usually happy feeling music) vs dark plot was odd for me. It resulted in an strangely up-beat tone which wasn’t “bad” but my preference would have been for this story to be darker and not have as much comedy/uplifting moments. It was still really cool. It’s a fun time. Recommended Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Lucky K I enjoyed the exploration of the ethics of AI, the meaning of humanity, and the intersection of AI and humanity. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/25 Full Review Dan B Great cast. Great script. Clever direction. Best to go in knowing nothing. I do believe- an instant classic!
