      Critics Consensus

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen's superficial tendencies are unlikely to appeal to older viewers -- though its colorful candor is decidedly not intended for them in the first place.

Jon L Lindsay Lohan was great in this. Such a fun performance! Loved. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Mariana J I think this movies is to watch when your at your room chiling. This is certainly my comfort movie cus' I think that the story is great and lindsay in this movie is just perfect. I love the play of confessions of a teenage drama queen too. I think that this movie is just iconic and it also has a lesson behind it. :) hope you enjoy it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/24 Full Review Esra Y It's campy, hilarious. Lindsay Lohan shines as always and Allison pill give good balance. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/23 Full Review Red T Bad and complete mess structurally. The acting isn't good at all. Everyone is giving over the top performances with bad dialogue, jokes that never hit, and there isn't any chemistry or charm with anyone. The cinematography isn't good either with basic camera work, forgettable locations, and this has a good amount of dumb scenes in it that are just stupid. The music is the best thing in this and that's saying a lot because its just ok being a generic 2000's pop score. The editing & pacing is bad as well. This feels like two stories about a school play and concert in NYC story arcs that never merge together to form a cohesive narrative and the plot is very razor thin to begin with and it feels like they drag scenes on way more than it has to be. That is on top of the weird out of place imaginative scenes with terrible green screen. This honestly should never have been made into a movie but two 30 minute Disney channel episodes for a sitcom. Even if your a fan of Lohan skip this because it lacks any charm at all. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Holly M PG & clearly made for tweenage/teenage kids. Girly, cute & entertaining for what it is. A childhood staple for me and my friends. Don't watch this expecting it to be made for adults - its just not. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/22 Full Review Meydiana R Ella Enchanted, starring Anne Hathaway, Hugh Dancy, Minnie Driver, and Eric Idle, is a contemporary epic fairy tale, sitting on the top shelf with such classics as The Wizard of Oz, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. A deeply telling and romantic tale, set in the land of magic, with many important messages, ranging from personal freedom, self empowerment, truth, and equality, to the simple pleasures that create the beautiful contrast of fairy tales, humor, song, beauty, friendship. A family movie, Ella Enchanted will be enjoyed by adults and children, and is sure to bring a warmth to your heart. Anne Hathaway steals your heart with her charm, personality, and ability to carry the movie no matter where it leads, with great beauty and skill. The supporting roles are cute, witty, and fill out the movie in all the right places. This is one for the vaults, and the DVD collection Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/19/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
