The story is pretty formulaic: taciturn, humorless super cop partners with loquacious, good natured doofus cop to catch a killer loose in the city and much violence ensues. However, the movie is rather well done, Kim Joo-hyuk is an excellent villain, and there are even a few laughs. Despite some preposterous moments here and there it's worth a watch.

So much fun. I was afraid they were going for a western feel to this film, but it stays true to K cinema and the unique cultural traits only found there. Loved every minute of this.

It's feels a bit dragged out and doesn't do much to differentiate itself from other buddy-cop genre films – the action is pretty standard stuff and the plot is a little bit ridiculous --but that doesn't stop it from being fun, thanks in large part to getting the balance between comedy and action right, as well as the chemistry and dialogue between the two completely opposite, but likeable lead characters. In the end, it's just well-made, satisfying popcorn entertainment, and that's good enough for me.
