Johnny (Vanilla Ice) is a rebellious rapper whose ice-cold heart thaws when he sets eyes on Kristin Minter (Kristin Minter). They couldn't be more different. She's a straight-A student whose biggest thrills come from horseback riding; he's a moody misfit who tears up the street with his yellow motorcycle. It won't be easy to win her heart -- especially with Kristin's athletic ex-boyfriend blocking the way. But, when her dad gets in trouble with gangsters, Johnny proves his worth.

My rating/review is from my 1991 diary entry when I was 11. I’ve not watched it since, and do not know what adult me would think, but I suspect I would be less generous. I mean, 11 year old me did not think adults would enjoy this movie. “I gave it 3 stars out of five stars. I figured at the begining this was going to be a stupid movie with concited Vanilla Ice, but I was suprised. It was really pretty good. But I think It wouldn’t be a good one for adults.”

I haven't seen this movie in over 30 years. I'm watching it now. 30 years ago as a teenager, this movie was great. Watching it now? Its the dumbest and worst movie I've ever seen 🤦‍♂️

Greatest movie of all time!!! It single-handedly saved my marriage and my children became grade A students. Not only that, but after I showed it to my grandma she was cured of her dementia and can walk without a cane!! I have decided to dedicate my remaining years telling others of this movie that they may experience true freedom and bliss. My life will never be the same. All hail vanilla ice, the bringer of true joy and eternal happiness!!
