Eric M A rational view to all the hype and hysteria. The way these "environmentalist" are scaring our children is criminal. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/23/21 Full Review Audience Member While I appreciated the message that he was trying to bring in this movie, I thought it was lacking and fell a little short of the mark for global warming Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member all else considered - the central idea here of looking for the "real" alternative energy of the future, or other solutions to global warming than the status quo - is very important. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm a conservative guy who can discern liberal bias rather quickly. I am highly skeptical of the fear mongering leftist media and have not bought the global warming argument as easily as my colleagues. I approached this film with hesitation, but was delightfully surprised to find well balanced arguments supported by research and possible solutions. While I may not agree with Lomborg's politics, he is the most reasonable voice in the climate change debate and offers the best suggestions yet to better the lives of peoples around the globe. I'm still skeptical, but I think Lomborg's approach is rational, reasonable, and respectable. If only big politics (Democrats and Republicans) and big money would listen to reason, rationality, and respectability. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member With its follow-the-money mind-set, the documentary works its way through problem and solution many times over, always in a brisk, no-nonsense way. By bringing in a diverse group of big thinkers to take part in a very animated, sometimes agitated, discussion, the filmmaker has succeeded in bringing what could have been a very dry mountain of data, theories and experimental research to vibrant life. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm an AGW denier (I believe that this is part of a natural cycle). With that said, this guy makes the most sense. IF there is a problem, why not combat it with real, effective, affordable methods that will actually produce the greatest results with the least amount of money? The main reason I'm a Lomborg supporter is that there are a ton of fantastic ideas here that'll help, AGW or no AGW. Just passively cooling cities in the heat zones would make people more comfortable and drive down energy usage and costs. And it's CHEAP and EASY to do! Why aren't we funding this?! Jennie Punter Globe and Mail Jam-packed but never disorienting, Cool It will definitely get your head spinning. Rated: 3/4 Dec 3, 2010 Full Review Tim Cogshell Boxoffice Magazine Cool It resonates, and gives one pause not just to consider the merits of the global warming question, but to consider the merits of all that we've decided to do about it, impending doom notwithstanding. Rated: 3/5 Nov 19, 2010 Full Review Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Lomborg (with an assist from Timoner's straightforward, uncomplicated doc) is the voice of reason. Calm down, listen to what he has to offer, and then get to work. Apparently, it's not too late. Whew. Rated: 3/5 Nov 12, 2010 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Lomborg presents himself well and his intriguing material deserves a forum for further discussion. Rated: 2.5/4.0 Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Noah Berlatsky Splice Today One of the talking heads that Cool It drops on the unsuspecting viewer notes with the slightly condescending chuckle of the large-brained that Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth, was a "great piece of propaganda." No doubt it was. So is this. Sep 16, 2019 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures Instead of getting wrapped up in fads and jumping on bandwagon, Lomborg offers solutions to the problems facing the world.
