While Cosmic Princess Kaguya! is definitely not the most accessible or comprehensible movie for the general viewer, it will likely be a homerun for anyone who falls into its intended target audience. Go to Full Review

Cosmic Princess Kaguya is tremendous for the first 90 minutes. Possessed by frenetic, electrified visuals and heartfelt emotional beats, it’s not a miss, but it’s a shame it comes close to being one. Go to Full Review

Mamiin :3 T @RT49214785 1d this movie is an absolute masterpiece!! it changed my perspective in ways I never thought it would and I LOVEEE the animations, very refreshing to see! See more Jakise W. @RT26494471 6d Visuals were amazing the story could use a little bit of work I was a little confused at times but other than that it was a really good movie I thought it was really stunning and beautiful and the characters made me cry 9.5 out of 10 See more Paul S @PManRager May 2 Some parts felt dragged out, but overall, this movie was absolutely incredible! Every scene was visually stunning in some way, shape, or form, and the story was incredibly fun and heartwarming. This movie had so many moments that made me smile, and I loved every minute of it! I definitely recommend it for anime, fantasy, and musical fans! See more Ba3y_o S @RT51264447 Apr 30 Cosmic princess kaguya is a remake on the tale of the bamboo cutter. This film was definitely funny and bright with colorful themes but I believe the pacing was really fast..like how did she just magically gain followers through streaming? I thought that was pretty unrealistic. And the fact it took forever for the moon people or whatever to come and get her was really weird making us almost forget this was a remake of the tale. And the dubs singing was absolutely ridiculous..but still a great movie overall. See more dani T @RT41204515 Apr 27 For some reason, few people resonate with this anime, but in my perspective, this may be one of the best animes I've watched in years. From the storytelling to the characters to the ending, it was incredible. [slight spoilers ahead] The way the author wrote their love story and personality was phenomenal. The way they conveyed their emotions, the bright and open Kaguya and the calmer Iroha was just incredible. Animation made them feel real, and was incredibly dynamic, color scheme and designs were perfect as well. Ending made me tear up, but Kaguya's devotion to Iroha, her experiences throughout time, and her unwavering love touched me in a way that I never thought it would. Truely, an anime of all time. [end of spoilers] go watch it. now. please. See more Jay W @RT52162311 Apr 21 There were stretches of this film that were firing on all cylinders, and I was ready to call this one a modern animation classic. But then it keeps going. This movie is 6 minutes longer than the Takahata Princess Kaguya, and it doesn't need to be. Without a doubt, if you were to tell me to trim 20 minutes from this movie, I could do it. The movie has this Fortnite knock off that they play, and those sequences could be cut and nothing much would be missed. And the problem is, the rules of the made-up game are too complicated. Pod racing, I get, it’s just like Nascar but in space. The game they play in this is too complex. If it was just Fortnite knock off it would be more straight forward. But anyways, that would be the main thing I cut, along with some of the ending. There is one of the funniest jokes I've seen in this movie. And a lot of good, sweet stuff, with great animation and music throughout. Just one more trip through the editing bay and it would have been just right. See more Read all reviews
