In the 17th century, five families with supernatural powers make a pact of silence. Eventually one power-hungry family is banished. The descendants of those four remaining families are heirs to tremendous power. Known as the Sons of Ipswich, the boys attend elite Spencer Academy. When a student there is found dead after a party, unraveling secrets threaten to shatter the pact that has protected the boys' families for centuries.

The cool boys in the school meet the cool girls. The boys have supernatural powers and it's all about being in control and appealing to the opposite sex. The plot itself is fairly shallow and offers no twists or turns. Unlike the movie "Underworld", this movie moves a little too slow and doesn't have anything interesting to offer other than some occasional special effects and some scantily clad actors. But its fun, campy , yes that final battle could have been better with different types of magic weaponry, but it is, what it is . I loved the relationship of the boys, and the leadership role of the main (witch)Caleb. I think its a fun movie to watch during spooky season. They tried to appeal to a male audience i get that and it didn't work. But as a lover of this genre it gives you a break from the normal Teen/female Witch characters we always saw. Now there are a bigger variety of Male witch characters being created for T.V and Movies making it now the norm. But at least the creators of this movie were brave enough to try and make something a bit different and try to cater to a wider audience. Over all a solid movie.
