Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post It's a sweet but slight film whose undeniable appeal is largely due to the performances of its flat-out adorable leads. Dec 17, 2004 Full Review John Hartl Seattle Times A feel-good coming-of-age movie that floats on a boatload of Irish charm. Rated: 3/4 Dec 10, 2004 Full Review John Monaghan Detroit Free Press A likable if ordinary Irish indie that barely squeaks by on the charms of its leads. Rated: 2/4 Dec 3, 2004 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Keeps us involved even after the plot takes some badly contrived turns. Strong characters and performances make it almost watchable. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 29, 2005 Full Review Don Willmott Filmcritic.com One of the sweetest Irish movies to come along since Waking Ned Devine Rated: 3/5 Apr 8, 2005 Full Review David Elliott San Diego Union-Tribune In 2004 there is no excuse for a gay-themed film to be a translucent closet with a cute, revolving door. Audience Member Everything an indie movie should be. A true bro-mance between a gay-bro and a straight-bro. Something that happens all the time in the real world but is NEVER portrayed in the movies. Told with a realism that many normal people will connect with.
