bill t Aw. it seems this was ranked very low.. Well, I LIKED this ridiculous Black Magic movie. Jack Palance (!!) worships a Black Magic Idol, and accidentally, a woman gets murdered by it. Well low and behold, good fortune comes his way! So he decides to continue popping off women to please his little devil god, and that involves a hilariously well planned alibi he pulls off to pop off a victim, soon the police get suspicious, and the circle tightens around him. Very entertaining, and there's an amazing subtexted subplot with his "assistant" who seemed rather gay from the get go, but you never hear it that way of course, only that they would "run off and take a vacation together" or something to that effect. Very very interesting watch! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A cult flick with lots of horror occultism in it...Pretty rare but if you manage to spot it somewhere, you should give it a try..! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Nutjob art dealer giving nightly rituals and sacrifices to a pagan idol? Why the hell not! Zany oddball horror flick that's worth a look if you can track it down, just for the scenery-chewing by Jack Palance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Neal Mottram needs money, he has a devil statue and is involved in black magic and witchcraft as well. Neal starts killing for his demon idol and money comes in for the sacrifices. The police are suspicious of him and his accomplish wishes to stop. Will Neal get away with it in the end with help from the dark lord or will the law catch up with him? Not a great movie to be sure, one or two good lines, cheap through out. Watched it on youtube where the video has 22 positive ratings to 10 negative. :) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Unworthy of Francis & pretty thin. Still has it's charms. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member italian version: Il buio macchiato di rosso. With J.Palance, Hugh Griffith,Diana Dors, Martin Potter. Director is Freddie Francis.
