Audience Member Talk about weird. This movie was really dumb but sort of interesting in a way. The story wasn’t very good, and the acting was anything but believable but I enjoyed it. For a quick overview this dude named Mottram worships a devil named Chuku. So he sacrifices people to please him, most of them women. He also has a coworker named Ronnie who works at his antique shop, Ronnie is always dreaming of getting away from the shop and going on vacation. Neal is too busy tending to the wishes of Chuku though. Ronnie tries to get him away from Chuku so he can be normal, but nothing succeeds and he ends up begrudgingly helping Neal hide the bodies. Anyways Neal kills a masseuse and a lady walks right in after him and reports the body. Ronnie who is incredibly drunk tries to destroy Chuku and fights with Neal. Ronnie gets thrown out the window yada yada police get in and Neal sacrifices himself as the final sacrifice. Honestly I want to get this movie on Blu-Ray because the quality I saw it in wasn’t very good. Not that it will help with how good the film is anyhow, 1.5/5 stars. Bad in a fun way. Jack Palance (!!) worships a Black Magic Idol, and accidentally, a woman gets murdered by it. Well low and behold, good fortune comes his way! So he decides to continue popping off women to please his little devil god, and that involves a hilariously well planned alibi he pulls off to pop off a victim, soon the police get suspicious, and the circle tightens around him. Very entertaining, and there's an amazing subtexted subplot with his "assistant" who seemed rather gay from the get go, but you never hear it that way of course, only that they would "run off and take a vacation together" or something to that effect. Very very interesting watch! Neal starts killing for his demon idol and money comes in for the sacrifices. The police are suspicious of him and his accomplish wishes to stop. Will Neal get away with it in the end with help from the dark lord or will the law catch up with him? Not a great movie to be sure, one or two good lines, cheap through out.
