There is not enough balanced coverage...to afford Crazy Wisdom anything other than a perfunctory nod; it unfolds like a fan letter to a rock star, forgiving of the debauched lifestyle the star leads because they have a beautiful voice.

If you know of and or love Trungpa Rinpoche this is an amazing movie to watch. If you have no context for Buddhism and or no contest for Trungpa your receptivity may be limited to see the rich value in the hearing of this brilliant man's story and tribulations. Not the most high-quality doc, but absolutely worth the watch to get an inside look at one of the greatest teachers of the past few centuries.

Brilliant biopic of the Tibetan Buddhist Master who brought Dharma to the West. He lived an unconventional life adopting to Western ways to transmit the teachings of the East. Basic Human Goodness. Fearlessness. Great film for anyone interested in spirituality & being a better human to benefit others in the world.

As someone who has long felt uncomfortable with certain westerners attitudes to eastern philosophies, namely Hinduism and Buddhism, all I can say is this guy rocks. He gets it and is prepared to help others get it. An inspirational film about an inspirational consciousness.
