They plan a heist from an armoured vehicle, which... NOONE HAS EVER DONE, IT'S TOO RISKY. Lots of great usage of flashback, narration, and the noir tropes we've all come to know and love. See more paul d @PaulusLoZebra 10/11/2021 Robert Siodomak's Criss Cross is a great movie. True to the films of its day, and especially to the best noirs of that era, this is a taut and compact story. It's got several lifetimes of emotion and back-story that fuels Burt Lancaster's obsession with Yvonne De Carlo. Dan Duryea is an expert and creepy villain, as usual, and the movie is full of wonderful character actors. The sights and sounds of LA are another fine element to the story, adding texture and realism to the steamy and intense scenes. There is a great score and excellent cinematography, with the aerial scenes and occasional angled camera work as highlights. See more william d @acsdoug 08/12/2021 Excellent noir from the 40s. If you're a fan of the genre I'm confident you will like it too. He's not credited, but I swear that's Tony Curtis dancing with Yvonne DeCarlo in the bar.
