James Perkins Starburst Ultimately, this wayward and, in terms of dialogue, cringy attempt at a sci-fi action film is wooden, noisy and very forgettable. Rated: 3/10 Feb 5, 2020 Full Review Terry Mesnard Gayly Dreadful The ambition here eclipses the script, the acting and the budget. And yet. And yet. I had a fun time. It's not good, but it doesn't feel cynically driven. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 19, 2019 Full Review Jeffrey Lyles Lyles' Movie Files With a better cast, script, director and budget could have been worthwhile. Instead, we're left with a film that aims for good enough and fails to hit that low bar. Rated: 2/10 Mar 19, 2019 Full Review Bobby LePire Film Threat Crossbreed could have aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 1999 and felt right at home and I mean that in the best possible way. Audience Member what the heck? this movie has a kinda b or c movie attitude. is only 87 minutes long but feels like 3 hours, it never ends. and i even fell asleep in between. i dont know what else to say. if you like those movies you maybe will have fun but do not except a blockbuster. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The story was disjointed and nonsensical; the acting was terrible; the alien monster was sooo bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Crossbreed" is a pretty straightforward story that pits space marines against a alien bio weapon. It is simple but at moments it strong in representation and aesthetics. Reminiscent of mid-nineties space fare like "Jason X" and Syfy stuff back when it was spelled correctly. Vivica A. Fox is great in her limited role as Commander-in-Chief, Madame President. The marines are stereotypical, but tolerable. Special effects are a mixed bag of cheap CGI and slightly better game-play level. Still it works and gives an entertaining affectation to the action sequences. The creature design and limited practical effects give "Crossbreed" it's real selling points. Plus add in some quality cinematography and the film is worth the watch. Just remember to go in with b-movie expectations. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
