Ola G The grizzled Parisian detective Vincent Drieu (Richard Berry) is sent to an outpost town in Southern France to dismantle a gang of killers which has freed a notorious criminal. The detective inherits a team of unmotivated and dishevelled detectives, and he makes connections nobody else saw because nobody else bothered to take a proper look. Drieu is a mysterious, charismatic figure, leading by example, and gradually his team begins to feel like cops again.. This cop thriller is generic with a storyline we have seen way too many times before. An older "super-cop" with a past. The acting is not fully believable, the action sequences are a bit over the top, the scene structure is wobbly and the film has an ending clearly inspired by John Carpenter´s great film "Assualt on Precinct 13". My treat was the lovely Aïssa Maïga as Kathia. The rest is forgettable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
