Giorgio G The main attraction of this flick is beautiful Emily. Not much of an actress, but with a sweet smile she carries what would be a sorry excuse for a teenager movie without her. One can easily skip over most parts of the movie as there is nothing to be missed. A bit of 80ies music makes it a bit more bearable, but nothing beyond that. 3 1/2 of 10 points. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review Edward S Having grown up in this era i think it was spot on. We lived it. It brought back so many memories of good and bad emotions and experiences. The film itself was well done. Authentic with a twist of needing more. Perhaps be more in depth to the characters. Great cast. Overall a good job. Has great production value. I've watched it a few times and left me wanting more and more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty average all around. Rich meets poor, tragedy, rich concedes, ad infinitum. This theme goes back to Shakespeare. Maybe it taking place in the 80s captivated some people, but Isee no reason why. With the lead character dressed like a 60s greaser talking about Steve McQueen, I don't know why. The whole film was rather drab and run of the mill: story line, acting, etc. Not worth the time Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Cruise takes you back to the 80s in more ways then one. With charismatic leads with solid chemistry, get ready for a fun ride Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Mediocre movie for the simple fact that I couldn't help but be distracted by Gio's abnormally small ears. Was confused as to how his little ears could support a cigarette Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an incedible movie, you don't have to have lived in the 80's to enjjoy it.I was surprised at everything about it, the acting directing and transition of the main character. I wish it had been longer. Everyone loves a good love story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Owen Gleiberman Variety By the time "Cruise" is over, you're invested enough to want to see where this real-life fairy tale is going. You also want to see more Robert Siegel movies. Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Ken Jaworowski New York Times It's true - you've seen many films like this before. Yet every so often, "Cruise" helps you remember when and why you first watched them. Sep 27, 2018 Full Review Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times Siegel's second directorial outing is better as an exercise in nostalgia than as a film, but it deserves some praise for its faithful recreation of a time and a place. Sep 27, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Coming after "Big Fan," it's a disappointment, finding the helmer getting caught in cliché he managed to avoid before. Rated: C- Oct 4, 2018 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Siegel fills the movie with lively sequences that burst with youthful energy. Rated: 3/5 Oct 2, 2018 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue This nostalgic but formulaic romance is undercut by narrative clichés and characters who don't warrant emotional investment.
