Morris Yang In Review Online Cryo doesn’t live up to its opening first minute, if it can be said to live at all. Jun 30, 2022 Full Review Dan Tabor Cinapse Cryo is a wonderfully executed sci-fi whodunit that just tears through its two hour runtime, while keeping you on the edge of your seat every step of the way. Jun 28, 2022 Full Review Andy Klein FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It could have been a good Twilight Zone... But it's just repetitive. Jun 25, 2022 Full Review Alexander Harrison Screen Rant While not without merit, Cryo is so bland for most of its runtime that not even a transformative ending makes for a net-positive viewing experience. Regina P Honestly, I just didn't get it. The production quality wasn't terrible or anything, it just didn't make sense. How do you keep repeating an experiment without changing any of the variables??? What do the other characters have to do with the person who is trying to be cured??? The patient with the malady didn't even interact with the other subjects. I didn't see how the story connected. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/24 Full Review Joseph K Don't believe the reviews. A very good movie which will have you spinning at the end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/20/23 Full Review Rick Underrated. It's easy for a critic to knock this one by simply looking past the most important part of the movie.. it's here to be watched. By design, there is no real emotional attachment to the characters, so you're willing to let them die. But, by the end your kinda left thinking 'I would have saved everybody as well if I'm being honest'. It's good! .. It's not Primer good, more like Tremors 4 good.. Just sit back and watch it, and if you really need to solve the mystery, take a risk and write down who you think it is in the first 5 minutes.. By the end, you'll be surprised how predictable people are. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/23 Full Review Dan D This lab rat movie has no plot or point. It is awful Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/21/23 Full Review Gunn W And this is why I trust Rotten Tomatoes more, their rating is 80%... IMDb has a weighted average of 4.3, when the mean and median = 7?? ** NON-SPOILER REVIEW: Don't pay any attention to the low ratings - I have no idea how it was calculated anyway? Personally, I thought it was a refreshing take on the 'I just woke up from Cryo and can't remember anything' style movies. The subtle hints dropped makes you wonder if/when each person is getting their memories back. And the ending is just... wow!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! *END OF NON-SPOILER* . . . . . . . . **SPOILER REVIEW**: OK, it blew my mind when they revealed all the stuff at the end. Talk about taking an OK movie, out with a BANG! I love how they kept showing the military guy saying things like, "Why are we doing XYZ, AGAIN?" I did not notice how many times he said 'doing again' until it was pointed out at the end. Then when CR-002 was the last remaining crew, and she entered the password and went down to see her father (in CR-000) he was acting as if he remembered everything, and his memory was intact. Why did he have no memory loss, when everyone else experienced it? ...UNTIL.... his daughter is recording him and he tells the same story 3 times in a row, forgetting that he just said that - SHOCKER! I did not see that coming. Finally, the 1 thing I couldn't figure out = If they are still running tests, why would either 000 or 002 be freezing themselves? I guess they believed with each test they had succeeded, until the end, when 002 leaves herself the video that it had failed again. Having no idea how many times she had done this - why would she freeze herself again and/or let her father do it as the final member? Was she just too saddened to tell her father it was all screwed up, and just played along with this game for eternity?? IDK? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review brad p Cryo had a lot of potential and touched many of the right notes for the 90s made for TV contained sci-fi adventure of yesteryear. However, it never really soars. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
