Sometimes the real nightmare is being awake. Five scientists awake from a cryogenic sleep and find themselves trapped in an underground facility. With no memory of who they are or how long they've been asleep, they begin to realize they may have been part of a scientific experiment gone wrong. After a series of strange events, the scientists find themselves being hunted. They do not know who is hunting them or for what reason, but the scientists begin to suspect that one of them may be the killer.

Bc of reviews I'd read, knew was slow till the ending, so I fast forwarded much of the movie. Only saw 1/2, and I'd been bored otherwise. Unfortunately it didn't matter the quality or acting or the story, the movie had a "Look" I didn't like. The basement setting, was supposed to be dismal, and it was, but the bad lighting made things seem even more unreal. As if no one was attempting to make it look like something that could happen in the future. Hated visually the look of the film, looked like someone in film school had shot it. But, the ending is different and surprising and things were brought together fairly well.

Honestly, I just didn't get it. The production quality wasn't terrible or anything, it just didn't make sense. How do you keep repeating an experiment without changing any of the variables??? What do the other characters have to do with the person who is trying to be cured??? The patient with the malady didn't even interact with the other subjects. I didn't see how the story connected.

Underrated. It's easy for a critic to knock this one by simply looking past the most important part of the movie.. it's here to be watched. By design, there is no real emotional attachment to the characters, so you're willing to let them die. But, by the end your kinda left thinking 'I would have saved everybody as well if I'm being honest'. It's good! .. It's not Primer good, more like Tremors 4 good.. Just sit back and watch it, and if you really need to solve the mystery, take a risk and write down who you think it is in the first 5 minutes.. By the end, you'll be surprised how predictable people are.

Synopsis
