Jennifer Green Common Sense Media This top-watched franchise from Spain hits the same target audience as the After series with its mix of tortured romance, attractive stars, beautiful settings, and contemporary soundtrack. Rated: 3/5 Oct 29, 2025 Full Review John Serba Decider I get it. These movies are supposed to be moronic, slapdash guilty pleasures best consumed while hiiiiiiggggghhhhhh. Doesn’t mean they’re good, or that I have to recommend them. Oct 22, 2025 Full Review Juan Pablo Russo EscribiendoCine Culpa nuestra closes the trilogy without contributing anything. Instead of exploring the consequences of its toxic relationships, it merely recycles the gestures of forbidden love. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 2/10 Oct 17, 2025 Full Review Enid Román Almansa Cinemanía (Spain) ...we can't judge it for anything other than what it is: a comedic finale (almost romantic comedy?), a dramatic, and beautiful ending to a saga that will go down in history in the memories of today's teenagers. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 16, 2025 Full Review Archika Khurana The Times of India González captures the tension between love and resentment well, but the narrative feels repetitive and overly dependent on contrived coincidences. Rated: 3/5 Oct 16, 2025 Full Review Sreeju Sudhakaran LatestLY.com Our Fault ends the Culpables trilogy exactly as expected - with beautiful people doing boring things (even the sexy parts) in beautiful places. It’s glossy, indulgent, and borderline self-parody, but at least it’s consistent. Rated: 1.5/5 Oct 16, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

TheMovieSearch R Culpa Nuestra is a foreign-language film franchise that has clearly struck a chord in its home country, but for international audiences—especially in the United States—it’s a much tougher sell. The concept itself feels like it could have depth, but instead, each installment ends up being a tangled web of over-the-top melodrama, awkwardly structured storytelling, and character relationships that border on uncomfortable. The series’ recurring theme of taboo romance, including a non-biological sibling relationship, feels less provocative and more misguided, leaving the audience questioning the moral and creative choices behind it. What stands out immediately is how convoluted the storytelling is. Rather than giving viewers a focused narrative or meaningful emotional core, Culpa Nuestra tries to do too much at once. The pacing is frantic, the tone shifts without warning, and the supposed romantic tension feels more forced than authentic. It’s as if the filmmakers are trying to create an epic romance on the level of The Notebook or After, but the emotional grounding simply isn’t there. Each film feels like a new reboot rather than a continuation, which makes it hard for audiences to connect to the characters or care about their arcs. The direction and screenplay both suffer from inconsistency. There’s ambition here, that much is clear, but ambition without control often leads to chaos, and that’s exactly what happens. The films jump between plotlines, lose focus on key characters, and never build to a satisfying resolution. It’s frustrating because you can see flashes of potential—a good scene here, a strong performance there—but nothing truly sticks. Casting choices also contribute to the unevenness of the series. While some of the leads bring intensity and charisma to their roles, they’re often let down by thin writing and repetitive dialogue. The chemistry between characters comes across as artificial, which only highlights how superficial the relationships are written to be. Rather than deep emotional connection, everything feels built around aesthetic—beautiful people, dramatic lighting, and steamy moments that lack genuine heart. Ultimately, Culpa Nuestra feels like a franchise that mistakes controversy for complexity and style for substance. The films want to be bold and romantic, but instead they end up feeling hollow and confused. There’s no real continuity or emotional throughline, making it difficult to invest in what’s happening from one film to the next. While it might resonate with certain audiences overseas, it’s a hard sell elsewhere. For me, the Culpa Nuestra films are examples of missed potential—ambitious projects that fail to connect because they don’t know what story they’re trying to tell. They could’ve been layered explorations of love, morality, and consequence, but instead, they rely too heavily on shock value and repetitive tropes. The result is a series that’s visually sleek but narratively empty, leaving you detached and ready to move on long before the credits roll. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/28/25 Full Review Maria L Most boring one yet. So predictable and badly constructed. And so unrealistic. Just bad. The first one I loved. This feels almost like a bad remake. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/26/25 Full Review Diogo G The latest movie of this saga exists only to provide a predictable ending to the love story, it does not add anything of importance to the general plot. Additionally, one of the key points of the movies' storyline (cars and racing) has been dismissed in order to give additional screentime to a sad attempt at giving some drama to this finale. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/25 Full Review Daniel D good movie and Please continue, how are they doing? They can also make a smaller series just about them and the children and others. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/25 Full Review Sofia S Although the cast was spot on and resembled the books almost perfectly, sometimes books should stay books and not be adapted into movies. The decline of the movie resulted in the last adaptation being fast and not very well done. Prefer the books. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/21/25 Full Review Vanessa W.
