Audience Member What's even more impressive than the fact one guy wrote, directed, and composed the amazing song in the middle is the short film itself. Don't expect believability. This is a surreal dark comedy about suicidal depression and drug addiction, but it's really about the characters and the way family can affect a person. Not realistic, not quite intended to be realistic, but totally believable emotionally, and the dialogue and music are terrific. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is touching, real, sad, unique, and has a great dance scene with music composed by the star and director, Shawn Christensen. Won the Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film at the 85th Academy Awards. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it so much, I begged via YouTube comment for Shawn to expand the story and make a full length version. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review charles s Beautiful performances by Shawn Christensen and Fatima Ptacek. The bowling scene alone is worth the price of admission.
