David Wiegand San Francisco Chronicle The performances are fairly static, but Lim and Leow are charming enough to hold our attention. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 31, 2007 Full Review Sid Smith Chicago Tribune Despite original touches, Cut Sleeve Boys is mostly a mediocre gay-themed movie plagued by tired humor and slapdash filmmaking. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 16, 2007 Full Review Mark Olsen Los Angeles Times Things tend to sputter about, feeling disconnected and episodic. Rated: 2/5 Aug 9, 2007 Full Review David Lamble Bay Area Reporter Cut Sleeve Boys tries to parade a Norma Desmond-sized ego without the emotional underpinning of exactly what transpires when a man becomes a mensch after donning a dress. May 26, 2020 Full Review Don Willmott Filmcritic.com this territory has been covered dozens of times before Rated: 2/5 Nov 28, 2007 Full Review David Cornelius eFilmCritic.com Terrible soap opera that not even the most ardent admirers of the most high-camp aspects of gay culture will find anything to their liking. Audience Member No es la pelicula gay mas radical, pero es una comedia sencilla que cumple con el cometido de divertir un rato. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member campy, bad acting, but i loved it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member YESSSSSH, that's what GAYS do!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Very funny but edgy at the same time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of those movies that pisses you off because you ignored your instincts and watched it anyway. The critics must have been bribed. I came into this expecting a thought-provoking insight into another sub-culture. A best friend in the pack dies tragically and the other two friends are brought to grips with their own mortality. Well, in this superficial treatment of grief, the only thing they think to do is go tranny to attract a butch man (who is into trannies, of course), and burn up their youth through the club circuit. All the while a young, fit, mostly-innocent-but-with-the-right-amount-experience guy comes to live with you and exclaims his love for you, all the while the signs of age are all over you, and you reject him? And not in the I-want-the-best-of-both-worlds way either. Total waste of time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member "cut sleeve" is Chinese for "gay". It's a good movie with a good story and some situations one might relate to, or not. I think it's worth a look. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
