In this animation, Cyrano de Bergerac (José Ferrer) is a 17th-century Parisian swordsman who has a silver tongue but a noticeably large nose. He also is infatuated with the beautiful Roxanne (Joan Van Ark), but refuses to pursue her because of his deformity. Enter Christian de Neuvillette (Victor Garber), a good-looking but dimwitted man who catches Roxanne's eye. Together, the two pursue Roxanne, using Christian's looks and Cyrano's words. Keeping up this risky deception isn't so easy, though.
