In this animated feature, wealthy J.P. Cubish has promised his fortune to anyone who can make him laugh. After Cubish dies, Daffy Duck, who won the job of personal court jester, lands the inheritance. The rub is that Cubish has demanded the person who receives his money use the funds for good. Daffy mocks the notion until Cubish's ghost starts haunting him. Determined to be rid of the spirit, Daffy recruits his friends -- Porky Pig, Bugs Bunny and others -- to start a ghost-busting service.

Matthew D @OceanSage Apr 15 It's a delightful collection of most of The Looney Tunes' spooky themed animated shorts. Chuck Jones' direction is wonderful just like Mel Blanc's insane voice acting for Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. What a fun way for kids to revisit these classic Halloween style shorts. See more 07/18/2019 I don't know how to write this review because The Nostalgia Critic already summed it up pretty well. While this movie is a clever and creative way to compile the spooky Looney Tunes shorts together and does provide lots of laughs with some good animation, both archival and original and the short film that preceded it isn't half-bad, it also has its downsides. Mainly, compilation films didn't make sense anymore since this was the late '80s and Looney Tunes cartoons became more widely available to collect on VHS and dubbing issues. It's very obvious that the main Looney Tunes voice actor Mel Blanc's health was declining as everybody sounds rather hoarse in the new footage making the repurposed old footage stick out like a sore thumb due to Blanc being 30 years younger meant he could do the voices better. But all things considers, if you want to complete your collection of Looney Tunes compilation movie VHSes (I'm sure somebody out there wants to), then Daffy Duck's Quackbusters is a must-have. Hilarious stuff, even the new opening has gags which adults will laugh at, when I first saw this as when I was growing up I did not understand the delorean and free gift joke now I do and it still makes me laugh although I heard some networks choose to censor that joke on TV.
