Audience Member Quite nice Japanese movie about events over one night in Tokyo during a power cut. Several characters cross paths as we discover their stories. It is long at over 2 hours, maybe a little too long, but it is an enjoyable story. It's set on Xmas eve, so there are some pretty scenes too in the first part of the movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A varied web of characters portrayed by an all-star cast. Yes, it all makes sense in the end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member In my favorites, not particularly for any cinematic brilliance or genius, but really for its simplistic, yet warm and redeeming characteristics. Sounds like a good cup of coffee, but unlike how I don't know what a good cup of coffee tastes like anymore, I know what I like. Sometimes, films take you along on a ride that isn't intended to be rough or provocative, but you go along for the ride anyways. I love to off-road, but I only enjoy it by knowing what a smooth road feels like. Does that make sense? Only to me I think. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member A well acted and interestingly interwoven story, but somehow lacking any real emotional impact.
