      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Dance Flick scores a few laughs thanks to the Wayans brothers' exuberance, but it's ultimately a scattershot collection of gags without much direction.

Eimear Good movie itself but not that many laughs Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/22 Full Review Kevin S The general consensus of this film is mind boggling. Maybe Wayans brothers were just way ahead of their time. This films follows the plot of Save the Last Dance almost verbatim, parodying many other films of the time along the way, such as Step up, Twilight, Ray, and High School Musical. If you haven't seen any of the films it's parodying, you'll likely just be confused. However, if you have, you'll be in stitches the entire film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/22 Full Review Audience Member LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 23 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!! The spoof movie I will never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review robert p Sometimes I love tastefully done black Movies, but in this case I laughed my head off because the stunts were incredibly dumb and so was the movie! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review David B This is the best comedy since that 1978 classic, Animal House. The Academy Awards will be flying when thus hits the theaters again.
