Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com While there's no reason to hate this effort, I can't say there's any reason to like it, either. Rated: 1.5/4 Jul 14, 2017 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter This is a low-budget horror film so generic you'll forget everything about it, including its title, just hours after watching it. Jun 30, 2017 Full Review Monica Castillo New York Times Although the script is stuffed with eerie objects and happenings, there is a sense of restraint that keeps "Darkness Rising" from becoming frightening. Jun 29, 2017 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed Darkness Rising has a few good ideas, some original ones even, but it's not scary and fizzles fairly quickly once it does ramp up. Rated: 2/5 Apr 17, 2020 Full Review Patrick King Cultured Vultures It has a few interesting surprises, but not enough to really keep the viewer captivated, even within its sparse 80-minute runtime. Oct 23, 2019 Full Review Maitland McDonagh Film Journal International Generic haunted-house story will have trouble standing out from a crowded summer theatrical environment. Audience Member The story is confusing and the acting is campy and really bad. I think the f-bomb was dropped at least 1,000 times and totally without benefit. Not worth the time to watch. You've been warned... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Indie movie that have a Legend storie and a visual better than 80% of greats horror movies at least Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member It sucked. Beginning scene and ending scene was never tied in to the central theme. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The single greatest evidence that, yes, you can indeed overact in films in 2019. One minor noise, everyone lashes out and loses their minds. The CGI is abundently fresh-out-of-college style editing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A 3 bc my interest was held until the end, hoping to get answers and understanding... but I didn't. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review rodrigo a Never trust the critics, I read a lot of those who gave The Last Jedi a 91% score, this is a typical popcorn movie, it's fun to watch. The actors in my opinion did a pretty decent job and even if it's not an Scorcese movie it fulfilled my expectations. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
